Who We Are
The paPAyaRx™ Solutions team comprises pharmacy services experts with over 100 years of combined experience across systems development, pharmacy operations, underwriting, pricing, and healthcare finance.
As an independent and unbiased organization, we're uniquely positioned to work with all stakeholders in the pharmacy ecosystem. We're not beholden to any single PBM, payer, or pharmaceutical manufacturer. This independence enables us to bring innovative solutions that solve pressing retail pharmacy needs without conflicts of interest.
Leadership Team
Jay Baumohl
Jay led Finance organizations as CFO and VP of Finance in a variety of pharmacy-related industries including telehealth (SteadyMD), pharmacy (Walgreens) and PBM (Express Scripts). His expertise spans strategy, compliance and M&A for entrepreneurial ventures to large public companies. He has advised a portfolio of startups through business development, raising capital and acquisition. Jay earned his business degrees from the University of Maryland and the Darden School of University of Virginia.
Chuck Turco
Chuck has led engineering and IT organizations through new innovations, claims and transaction processing, back-end operations, security, and more. While at Express Scripts, Chuck led all IT Solution Architecture and IT Operations. He is very familiar with pharmacy benefits management, pharmacy and other healthcare systems. Chuck earned his bachelors and masters of computer science from the Washington University in St. Louis.
Lekshmi Venu
Most recently, Lekshmi founded a voice AI startup which reduced the operational burden of benefits checks, prior auth and claims follow ups by 45%. She led global machine learning technology for Amazon Payments and held P&L responsibility for $B payments business lines. Lekshmi began her career in pharmaceuticals and pharmacy benefits management (Express Scripts) and pharmaceutical consulting. She earned her degrees from the University of Chicago and Harvard Business School.
